If you'd like to send a money order - please make it payable to J. Williams, and send to 3395 S. Jones Blvd., #217, Las Vegas, NV 89146. We currently don't take donations in the TAPS name so that no one will know you have donated to an organization like ours (to protect donors from a lot of questions). People often ask us what we do with money donated to us. Helping trafficking victims is very complex, dangerous, and range from being as simple to picking a girl up at a telephone booth or a bus stop and getting her onto a plane back home to family. Other cases are much more complex and require a lot of tools, resources, manpower, equipment, licenses, passports, private detectives, private security, bodyguards, lawyers, etc. To give you an idea what an "operation" is that we sometimes do to help these victims - we've added a link to a movie called "Taken". Of course we have never killed anyone to get a girl back like in this movie - but without us some women, men and children even have had no choice left to them to escape but to kill their captors/pimps and then call us for help. The movie can be found here if you're curious - http://www.66stage.com/movies.php?pl=veo&url=v15153157e9R9Ah36 You can play this right on your computer if you have VEOH. You can download the software to play this movie free at www.veoh.com. Then where it says "preview" - just keep clicking until you're inside the whole movie. I'm putting this movie up here to show you we need resources "ready to go". We can't figure out what we need to help these victims - and then spend six months trying to raise the money or the items. By that time it's too late for some of these people. When we get a call - we have to be literally ready to pick up a phone, hop in our car, and go into action. Considering we lost our car a few months ago - this has made rescue efforts literally impossible until we can locate another car. Unfortunately we can not call anyone for a ride to help us with these efforts as it would endanger some people, others could be recognized and hurt, and we don't have insurance that would cover anyone or their car getting hurt in one of these rescues. This is why it's important for us to have a car in our name and our insurance to take on these risks. We also have a very limited number of people we can trust with information like locations, names, photos of who we are going to help, etc. So we can't use cabs, limos, the bus, or well meaning friends. Even the simple things like hair dye, wigs, different clothing, and shoes, colored contact lens, and other items that will help us get these victims out of the area without being recognized so any violence is not necessary requires us to have money to purchase these things - especially if we have to take them to the doctor right away for an exam such as in cases of recent rape, recent beatings, recent gunshot wounds, etc. We can obtain any resource we need with the right amount of money. So please consider a cash donation to help our group achieve the freedom and safety of even more people than we are helping right now. We are not a 501c3 so we are not a tax deductible charity.
